San Diego’s Legal Cannabis Industry Hasn’t Escaped Economic Downturn
There are roughly 16 unlicensed dispensaries operating illegally in the South Bay city, many of them in buildings that were previously raided and shut down by the Chula Vista Police Department. Chula Vista has shut down 56 unlicensed dispensaries in Chula Vista since , said City Councilman Mike Diaz, who represents the district with the highest number of illegal pot shops.
