Strong culture of passion throughout the company. Solid management and team focus. The best part of the job is the sense of knowing the product you are making could be helping someones loved one. Hardest part of the job is keeping up with the many changes of this growing company. Prepared powder for encapsulation.
I learned about cGMPs primarily. The management was okay, if I wanted to stay would have been better. The hardest part was trying to get an interview for quality control chemist job you wanted and having to work manufacturer associate job below your education level. Wasn't nearly as stressful as understaffed cooking job. Coffee lounge.
Terrible managment with no knowledge of leadership, that only wants "yes" persons. Lead Maintenance Technician. Site director expected all employees to work overwhelmingly long days while treating people like they were garbage if they didn't blindly agree with him. Safety concerns were only corrected if cheap. Production facility location was in an office business park. Only cares about their products and not their employees. Free products. Managment, Working conditions, Theft, Harassment.
Yes 14 No. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. This industry is important. This company has a good direction and is growing quickly. Their heart is in the right place. Yes No Your experience matters. Help out others considering your employer. Rate your employer. The left hand knows not what the right hand does. You'll feel great when you are first hired! A progressive startup with a focus towards helping people? Then the cracks appear. The wage is much lower than the median for the locality in which you'll be working.
Ideas and systems implemented by other manufacturers in other industries; which are sound, proven, and important; get ignored. There is a general feeling of helplessness from all of your coworkers; you will do the best you can, because you can expect no support. That what you try to accomplish will be for next to nothing. And then, you'll be cast out. With no warning or meeting of any kind to try to align the work you'll be doing with what's expected of you.
You won't explicitly be told what is expected of you either. Last but not least you'll get a meeting with HR, in which it'll be one of two things hint: it'll only actually be one thing : the raise you've been told was coming, or that you are being let go.
That was a trick: there are no raises, you're just going to be let go. You'll get paid whatever vacation you didn't use! In short; your time and energy are better spent on your career somewhere else. Yes 37 No 1. My pet betta fish can run this company better.
The company is a burning ship and everybody is abandoning it. I have never been happier to be gone This place just gets worse and worse by the day. Just when you think it can't get any worse, wait for tomorrow. It will be worse. That is the history of this place. The equipment is ancient and unreliable. When something breaks, it gets tossed into another room that is the equivalent of the Island of Misfit Toys.
If you can't do your job because of equipment failure, extremely thin staffing, or a power outage due to an Act of God, the blame is placed solely on the operators. Also, if you're a perfectionist who absolutely is immune to mistakes, this place is looking for someone who doesn't make any mistakes. One mistake and you're gone. This place is a purgatory. High turnover, extremely low pay, unwillingness to invest, lack of knowledge in the importance of science, unrealistic expectations on personnel.
These two locations of the company have no interaction with each other, aside from directors and maybe one or two managers. I've never worked with or collaborated with any employee from that office. So, if you are reading the reviews and applying to a position at the Boulder location then disregard any Denver review, because their experience is completely different.
There's nothing really fancy or exciting happening when you work at CW. The company is not very innovative, aside from being a hemp company. From what I've seen, we are years behind other hemp companies, it's our name that keeps us on top. The products we sell, the people we help, and some of the co-workers are what keep me motivated. I've learned a lot from this company and I thank them for that.
But, I have also never been treated so poorly in my life. There are people within the company who will do whatever it takes to make themselves look good. People do not own up to their mistakes, they like to blame others for their failures. Unfortunately with that, hard working employees get let go because their boss likes to blame them for their mistakes. I've seen it first hand and it's really sad to see these employees get terminated for one simple mistake that could've been handled with a written warning.
Also, you will be judged on your wardrobe. It's tough to dress nice, when you can't even afford to purchase nice clothes. Yes 42 No 1. Clueless leadership. Truly a company that does not care about its employees and barely even knows what it is doing. Apply quickly if you want to be disrespected, taken advantage of, and left with nothing soon after any problem you have with any of it is voiced.
