But most of it is marketing hype. I have decades of experience generating marketing hype myself — so I know marketing hype when I see it. And while they can be extremely helpful, they do have their weaknesses:.

I always say the same thing in these discussions: that you clean and lubricate your guns regularly is far more important than what you clean and lubricate with. In a pinch, even spitting on a dry slide rail would be better than running it bone dry. There are plenty of products available. Most of them will work just fine. Rem Oil is a superior lubricant for firearms. You use it to lubricate your guns, as well as to protect them from corrosion. Most gun oils work fine if you use them according to instructions.
